Nick graduated from Oregon State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Earth Science with an emphasis in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences. He then earned a Master's from Syracuse University in 2011 in Broadcast & Digital Journalism. All the while he has been on the air in multiple states. Now, though, he calls Mississippi home and is the Chief Meteorologist for WDAM, a local television station, and works part time as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Southern Mississippi teaching a course in meteorology.

    Nick our member you saying this last time we get snow we were just going to get it people are right. I remember very clearly you said on TV there’s no way we would get snow in this because 21 January. Well guess what we’re getting snow and you do not know how the forecast weather here in the Mississippi area. You need to pack your bags and move back to Seattle Washington where it rains all day so you can get the weather right. People are tired of you talking stuff that they don’t understand.

      Mike – get over it. As you can see in this blog that was clearly stated in the WDAM website this is a complete scientific breakdown. “Scientific” being the key word. If it is to hard for you to understand then the nice folks over at FOX 25 are happy to give you the information on a level that may be more your speed. If you are not looking to be educated on the subject then don’t read it. There really is no reason to be hateful.

    Nick – Let me start by saying THANK YOU to you and the entire WDAM Weather Team. The work that you put in to giving an informed and detailed forecast is way above par. I believe that I would speak for the majority of your followers when I say that I truly value your knowledge and insight to our local weather. I depend on the WDAM Weather Team everyday for the forecast and I am never disappointed with the information that you put out. We are blessed to have a team that is as dedicated as you are to giving us accurate and informative information. Thank you again to all the hard work that you do to keep us informed and safe.
