I am not your average sports-nut. I have always been considered to be a little over the top with my sports obsession from both friends and family. I can honestly watch ESPNNews and SportsCenter from the time I wake up until I fall asleep. From a journalistic aspect, I have been the Sports Editor for my school's newspaper for the the last two and a half years and have been awarded with awards from the Society of Professional Journalists and Oregon Newspaper Publishers Association. As far as being an athlete, I played football up until my sophomore season in high school and then I had a career-ending ankle injury. I have also trained in Mixed Martial Arts, not as a fighter but more to lose weight, with Team Quest and Xtreme Couture under Randy Couture and Dennis Davis. I hope you enjoy everything I offer to The Five! Ciao, Alan K. Fox
