Portland Trail Blazers’ Greg Oden goes “under the knife” again

Tell me if you’ve heard this one before: Portland Trail Blazers center Greg Oden will undergo knee surgery.

Okay, so Oden having knee surgery is about as close to news as “the sun rose today” or “gravity is still working” but, that being said, this time the 2007 first-rounder will have arthroscopic surgery to “remove debris” from his left knee.

Oden wasn’t only a first-round pick in 2007, he was the first pick. It’s a year the Blazers would like to forget. the Blazers selected Oden, Josh McRoberts, Derrick Byars, Taurean Green, and Demetris Nichols in 2007.

Oden, the most successful out of the group (He has appeared in 82 career games for the Blazers, averaging 9.4 points and 7.3 rebounds), will have surgery Monday in Vail, Colo. Keep in mind Oden just had the same surgery on his other knee earlier this month.
