Don Mattingly, Dodgers, make claim to L.A.

Despite all of the off-season woes that have troubled the L.A. Dodgers organization, Don Mattingly is the manager and Ned Coletti is still the General Manager. Despite the L.A. Angels of Anaheim signing Albert Pujols, the Dodgers still have Matt Kemp (39 HR, 126 RBIs).

And despite starting 2012 in the shadow of their neighbors to the north, the L.A. Dodgers made a statement.

According to The Associated Press reporter Janie McCauley, the Dodgers still think they own L.A. McCauley writes: “Don Mattingly made one thing clear before his team’s first full-squad spring training workout: The Dodgers still reign in L.A.”

Colletti, still working to put the financial woes behind the team, was quoted as saying, “at this stage, it will be good to get another chapter going.”
