Favre done at Miss. St., set to transfer

Who says every college player only plays for the name on the front of the jersey and not on the back? Because that’s not the case for anyone named Favre.

Mississippi State football coach Dan Mullen announced that backup quarterback Dylan Favre will transfer schools.

Meaning Favre will not be available for the Music City Bowl.

Favre spent the season behind Chris Relf and Tyler Russell. The 5-foot-10, 195-pound redshirt freshman that is the nephew of Brett Favre only threw the ball 25 times this season. He is looking to go somewhere he will be utilized more.

As for the Bulldogs, the team will only suit two quarterbacks during the Music City Bowl when they face Wake Forest on Dec. 30 in Nashville.
