Well, I got so caught up in the game I forgot to live-blog like planned. Whoops! A pretty amazing game on both sides of the ball for both teams. Here are [Five] quick thoughts for both teams…
Packers
• Aaron Rodgers isn’t rusty, just in case anyone was curious
• Tramon Williams’ “shoulder injury” looked more like an elbow injury while watching the replays and the way he was holding his arm as he exited the field
• Ryan Grant is good, but James Starks looked better
• James Jones’ one catch for one yard cost the Packers how much again?
• The offensive line was better, but still not outstanding
Saints
• Drew Brees – at times – looked better than Aaron Rodgers, which is saying something
• When did Darren Sproles become Reggie Bush 2.0?
• Saints WRs looked slow, tired and ‘out of it’ most of the night
• Saints DBs looked unsure just about every snap
• Fourth down missed opportunity & goal-line miss both produced bad outcomes, but the right calls.
