Indianapolis Colts start 0-2 for first time since 1998, might look Favre’s direction

The Indianapolis Colts are a long way from where they would like to be. After the team lost Peyton Manning for two months, and maybe the season, the team seemed to rally. But now, they seem to be reeling.

It’s gotten so bad that Bob KRavitz at the Indianapolis Star has put out the Brett Favre bait:

The next time Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay tweets about visiting Hattiesburg, Miss., here’s hoping he’s not joking around.

Seriously, what’s there to lose at this point with the Indianapolis Colts’ season swirling — having swirled — hopelessly down the drain with Sunday’s 27-19 loss to the Cleveland Browns?

The Colts (0-2) are certainly not in a familiar spot. The team hasn’t started 0-2 since 1998. And through eight quarters of play, the team has been dismal on offense – only scoring twice.

But to pull the Favre card might be a little hasty for the Colts who still have – at least – five more games to right the ship and still have a statistical shot at making the playoffs.

According to reporters, after the game against the Browns, players and coaches insisted the problems were “correctable.”

The team should spend this week focusing on correcting the mistakes – the Pittsburgh Steelers visit on Sunday.
