It’s a packed crowd in Hagerstown. Mike Lederer is on the scene of Stephen Starsburg is heading to the bump for the first time since Sept. 3, 2010. Lederer is covering the even for weareaustin.com but has posted a few pictures of the pitcher.
Lederer reports via Twitter: “Back to back strikeouts. High heat. 8 pitches, 8 strikes.”
Strasburg’s line after one inning was one hit, no runs, two strike outson 17 pitches (12 strikes) with his fastball hitting 97mph.
UPDATE: Lederer reports via Twitter: “Final line for Strasburg: 1.2 innings, 3 hits, 1 earned run, 0 walks, 4 strikeouts. Fastball sat 95-98. Changeup 88. Strong breaking ball.”
