NFL Owners vote on new CBA

The NFL owners have voted in favor of a new collective bargaining agreement.

Owners and executives from all 32 teams met in Atlanta on Thursday to vote on the new CBA.

The league needed at least 24 of 32 owners to vote in favor of the new deal in order for commissioner Roger Goddell to sign of on it.

The vote was 31-0 with the Oakland Raiders abstaining.

With the owners agreeing to a new CBA it is now up to the players to ratify the new deal.

Player representatitves from across the league are set to participate in a conference call with NFLPA* President DeMaurice Smith at 8 p.m. tonight.
