“Rest the Vest” night for Buckeyes fans

I always feel like the more I can publicize crazy Minor League Baseball events the better.

This time, it’s the Fort Myers Miracle of the Florida State League.

Monday night the Miracle are going to be hosting the “Rest the Vest” Night. It will give grieving Ohio State fans a place to unload their sweater vests in the wake of Jim Tressel’s resignation.

No word yet on what the Miracle plan to do with the vests. But the Miracle are exchanging the copious sweater vests for a shot to test drive a sports car. Also, for those with sleeves on all of their shirts, the fans who show a tattoo before the game against the Jupiter Hammerheads will receive “a piece of Miracle memorabilia to keep or sell.”

And if the Jupiter Hammerheads sound familiar, it’s because they were involved in the minor league game that went 23 innings about a week-and-a-half ago.

Crazy minor leaguers…
