The Philadelphia Phillies have activated backup catcher Brian Schneider from the disabled list.
Schneider will rejoin the team for Friday’s game against the Oakland Athletics.
To make room for Schneider on the roster the team sent catcher Dane Sardinha down to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
The 34-year old Schneider has been on the disabled list since May 12 due to a strained left hamstring.
