Florida State’s Makusha sets new 100m NCAA record

Faster than a speeding… Bruin. Florida State’s Ngonidzashe Makusha broke the 100m collegiate record Friday in the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

She finished in 9.89 seconds beating the old record of 9.90 set by Ato Bolden of UCLA 15 years ago.

It was the second big-time performance for Makusha. She won the long jump in 27 feet, 6.75 inches – the best mark at the NCAA meet in 18 years.
