We have our first surprise of the 2011 NBA draft.
With their second pick and the fourth overall section of the 2011 NBA draft the Cleveland Cavaliers selected freshman power forward Tristan Thompson from the University of Texas.
Thompson was the 2010-2011 Big 12 Freshman of the year.
The 6’9 230 pound Thompson averaged 13.1 points and 7.8 rebounds during his lone season as a longhorn.
Thompson has a lot of potential but needs to work on his low post moves and jumpshot.
