Syracuse Chiefs’ Michael Aubrey hits four homeruns

A former first-round draft pick is living up to his selection. Michael Aubrey, of the Washington Nationals’ Triple-A club the Syracuse Sky Chiefs, hit four home runs Saturday.

It’s no surprise the Chiefs beat the Durham Bulls 11-0.

Aubrey went yard in the first, fourth, sixth and seventh innings and tallied seven RBIs. His four dingers for the Sky Chiefs matched his total from his last regular season in the Bigs – four homeruns in 31 games with the Baltimore Orioles in 2009.

He tied the Syracuse franchise record set in 1977 by Gene Locklear.

  1. The team is no longer named SkyChiefs.

a few years ago management re-embraced the franchise’s original name,
    Syracuse Chiefs.

    Aubrey was awesome on Saturday.
