NBA All-Rookie First Team Announced

The NBA announced today the 2010 – 2011 All-Rookie First Team. The team includes Blake Griffin of the LA Clippers, John Wall of the Washington Wizards, Landry Fields of the New York Knicks, Demarcus Cousins of the Sacramention Kings, and Gary Neal of the San Antonio Spurs.

Griffin, who averaged 22.5 points and 12.5 boards was a unanimous selection to the team. While Wall, this past year’s #1 pick by the Wizards, received 28 first team votes and just a single second team vote. Wall averaged 16.4 points and 8.3 assists per game for the 2010 – 2011 season.

The second team includes Greg Monroe of the Detroit Pistons, Wesley Johnson of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Eric Bledsoe of the LA Clippers, Paul George of the Indiana Pacers, and Derrick Favors of the Utah Jazz, who did most of this work this year with New Jersey prior to the blockbuster trade that sent Deron Williams to the Nets.
