Los Angeles Angels first baseman Kendrys Morales will miss the entire 2011 season.
Morales is set to undergo another surgery on his injured left ankle.
He met with an ankle specialist this week and decided to undergo surgery to “clean up” scar tissue and bone cysts in his ankle.
Morales originally injured the ankle back on May 29, 2010 when he celebrated a walk off home run at home plate with his teammates.
The celebration will now end up costing Morales nearly two full seasons of baseball.
