Indians’ Alex White placed on DL

The Cleveland Indians have placed starting pitcher Alex White on the disabled list.

The 22-year old White, one of the top prospects in the Indians organization, will miss the next two months due to a sprained ligament in his right middle finger.

He injured his hand during the third inning of the Indians game on Friday night against the Cincinnati Reds.  White underwent an MRI and was subsequently placed on the disabled list.

White is 1-0 with a 3.60 ERA in three starts this season.
