Hi, I’m Sam LeCure

You might remember me from such films as, “Tweet’ll’dumb and 2011: A Tweet Odyssey, but today, I’m here to teach you a lesson about misusing Twitter.

Okay, so Simpsons knock-offs aside, Cincinnati Reds pitcher, Sam LeCure, has to be feeling pretty foolish today.

LeCure tweeted: “I don’t know what to say folks. I desperately want to pitch and I feel like I’m wasting space as I’m sure you all do. Im ready if they call”.

Roughly 24 hours after tweeting that he felt like he was “wasting space” in the Reds’ bullpen, the right-hander was placed on the disabled list with a strained right forearm.

Now he is occupying space on the DL. and he’ll have plenty of time to tweet whatever he’d like.

Manager Dusty Baker told reporters Sunday LeCure wasn’t in the rotation because he couldn’t throw all his pitches and then questioned why LeCure “felt the need to tweet it in the first place.”

The LeCure tweet opened the door for lefty Tom Cochran of Triple-A Louisville.
