New Orleans Saints running back, Reggie Bush, offered up a very interesting tweet after the Saints drafted Alabama RB Mark Ingram with the 28th overall pick.
“It’s been fun New Orleans.” he tweeted.
In truth, Bush was not expected to return to the Saints next season regardless. Before the lockout, he declined to take a pay cut even though he is due approximately $11 million next year.
In five years, Bush has 524 rushes for 2,090 yards with 294 receptions for 2,142 yards and 29 combined touchdowns.
Teams that are interested in Bush’s services are probably very interested to see what is decided with the end of the lockout. If the NFL rules that free agency begins tomorrow, it wouldn’t be surprising to see teams attempt to trade for the once-Heisman Trophy holder.
