The New England Revolution acquired midfielder Benny Feilhaber.
Chivas USA had the first opportunity to sign the 25-year-old but passed, citing his high salary.
Second on the list, the Philadelphia Union, also passed on Feilhaber. The Revolution seized the opportunity and selected Feilhaber.
He was a member of last year’s U.S. World Cup team. MLS is paying a transfer fee to his most recent team in Denmark.
