Sabres G Ryan Miller injured

According to BuffaloNews.com, Sabres goalie Ryan Miller will miss tonight’s game against the New York Rangers due to an upper-body injury.

Miller is 33-22-8 this season with a 2.60 goals against average and a .915 save percentage.  He’s been hot between the pipes lately and was named the NHL’s first star last week, going 3-and-0 with a pair of shutouts.

He allowed 4 goals in Toronto on Tuesday night in a loss to the Maple Leafs. and took a slapshot from Dion Phaneuf to the collarbone area with 14:48 left in the third period of Tuesday night’s 4-3 loss at Toronto.

Miller has made the Sabres last seven starts and has been in net for 24 of Buffalo’s last 27 games.

Backup goalie Jhonas Enroth will start in net for Buffalo as they look to hold on to the 8th and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.  The Sabres currently lead the Carolina Hurricanes by 3 points for the 8th seed.
