Minor League manager hit by foul ball, hospitalized

In a scary scene, Atlanta Braves minor league manager Luis Salazar was airlifted to a hospital after being hit in the face by a foul ball.

In the first inning, the 54-year-old Salazar was in the dugout on the first base side when a line drive struck him in the face. Salazar was airlifted to the Orlando Regional Medical Center.

Brian McCann was the batter and didn’t return to the game

The game between the Braves and St. Louis Cardinals was delayed nearly 20 minutes while an ambulance drove onto the field, acording to the Associated Press.

Salazar played in the ’80s and early ’90s for San Diego, Detroit, the Cubs and the White Sox.
