Corey Brewer free to roam

The New York Knicks only held onto Corey Brewer long enough to file the paperwork to release him.

The 6-foot-9, 24-year-old, who was drafted out of Florida in 2007, is set to become a free agent, according to ESPN, and he would become eligible to join a team for the postseason.

Word has it that the Boston Celtics, San Antonio Spurs, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Dallas Mavericks are all interested in signing Brewer. On the season, his line looks like: 8.6 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.4 assists..

Keep in mind the Celtics tried to get Brewer before the Carmelo trade went through. But right now, it’s reported that the Spurs may be the front runner.

Right now, fans are weighing in on who should acquire Brewer’s services. He is trending on Twitter and all over facebook.
