Super Bowl XLV Quick Pick

Season: 65-54-1

Playoffs: 7-3-0

Championship Round: 2-0-0

This is it.

Super Bowl XLV.

The Green Bay Packers vs. The Pittsburgh Steelers with everything on the line. The matchup has been debated to death over the last two weeks so I won’t bore you with the same repeated analysis that has already been reported. How will the Steelers respond to losing their lone pro bowler on offense, center Maurkice Pouncey? Will experience in big games become a factor as the Steelers look to win their 3rd Super Bowl in 6 seasons against a Packers team playing in the big dance for the first time since the 1997 season? Can the Packers and Steelers match the performance of what was arguably the best regular season game of the 2009 season?

As I tried to decide which team will hoist the Lombardi trophy on Sunday night I constantly came back to two points.

1.) My gut tells me the Steelers will win.

2.) Don’t pick against Aaron Rodgers in an indoor setting.

Uh oh.  I can easily be swayed to go either way with this pick and ultimately I am just hoping for a great game.  But since I have to make one final pick for the 2010 NFL season, here it is:

STEELERS (-3) over Packers
