NFL Combine: Offensive Lineman 40-yard dash

The 40-yard dash doesn’t mean much for offensive lineman but the first 10-yards are important for talent evaluation. Last year, the offensive lineman averaged a 5.28 40-yard dash as a group. Interior lineman averaged 1.85 seconds in the first 10-yards and tackles averaged 1.81 seconds over the first 10-yards.

Syracuse’s Ryan Bartholomew is off to a very impressive start at the scouting combine. After leading the offensive lineman in the bench press with 34-reps at 585 pounds, Bartholomew was the only offensive lineman to run a sub 5.00 40-yard dash.
