NCAA punishes Pearl, Tenessee Volunteers

The NCAA charged Tennessee’s football and basketball team’s with a dozen violations by the NCAA Wednesday.

The NCAA came to these conclusion after a 22-month investigation. The NCAA found basketball coach, Bruce Pearl, “acted unethically and failed to monitor compliance activities by his basketball staff,” according to the Associated Press. And former Volunteer football coach, Lane Kiffin, who now coaches at South Carolina, was charged with failing to monitor his staff.

Tennessee has until May 21 to respond to the NCAA’s allegations and were not informed of any sanctions or potential punishments.
