NBA Games of the Week (2/7/11 – 2/13/11)

Wednesday, February 9th: Chicago Bulls at Utah Jazz at 9pm EST
The red hot Chicago Bulls travel to Utah as Carlos Boozer makes his first trip back to Salt Lake City since leaving the Jazz as a free agent during the Summer. It should be a great matchup between two of the top point guards in the entire league as Deron Williams squares off against MVP candidate Derrick Rose.

Thursday, February 10th: Los Angeles Lakers at Boston Celtics at 8pm EST on TNT
For the second time in eleven days, two of the titans of the NBA will square off in a rematch of the 2010 NBA Finals. The Celtics went into Los Angeles on January 30th and won by a final score of 109-96. Los Angeles will look to rebound from that defeat as they head into Beantown to take on one of the best home teams in the NBA.

Friday, February 11th: New Orleans Hornets at Orlando Magic at 7pm EST
The 32-18 Hornets will travel to Orlando to take on the 31-18 Magic in a great Friday night matchup. With New Orleans point guard Chris Paul and Magic Center Dwight Howard set to be the top two free agents on the market after the 2012 season, both teams have plenty of additional firepower and it should be interesting to see how the squads matchup.

Friday, February 11th: Los Angeles Lakers at New York Knicks at 8pm EST
Any time Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers make their lone trip to Madison Square Garden the game turns into a spectacle. Add in the fact that the Knicks are off to their best start in nearly a decade and it points towards an absolutely electric atmosphere at MSG.

Saturday, February 12th: Chicago Bulls at New Orleans Hornets at 8pm EST
It’s another great matchup between two of the top point guards in the NBA as Derrick Rose takes on Chris Paul. Both teams have been hot as of late each going 8-2 in their last 10 games. Also look for a great matchup down low between two former All-Stars as Carlos Boozer squares off against David West.

Sunday, February 13th: Miami Heat at Boston Celtics at 1pm EST on ABC
The Heat will travel to Boston with a lot to prove as they look to pick up their first victory of the season against the Celtics in a rematch of their opening night contest. With Miami fully healthy, this game will have a tremendous amount of star power and should be a great battle until the very end. With football season coming to a close, this likely playoff preview is must see television.

Sunday, February 13th: Los Angeles Lakers at Orlando Magic at 3:30pm EST on ABC
Don’t change that channel! The second half of ABC’s Sunday double-header should be a great matchup as the Lakers and Magic square off in a rematch of the 2009 NBA Finals. While many of the key players in the contest remain the same, it will be interesting to see how Orlando’s new acquisitions of Gilbert Arenas and Jason Richardson respond to going up against the two-time defending NBA Champions.
