New York Knicks acquire Carmelo Anthony

After months of speculation the New York Knicks have finally acquired Carmelo Anthony.

The Knicks and Denver Nuggets have agreed to a deal that will send Carmelo Anthony, Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams, Renaldo Balkman and Anthony Carter to New York for Danilo Gallinari, Raymond Felton, Wilson Chandler, Timofey Mozgov, New York’s 2014 first round draft pick, Golden States 2013 second round pick, Golden State’s 2014 second round pick, and $3 million cash.

New York will also send Anthony Randolph and Eddy Curry to Minnesota as part of the deal. The Timberwolves are expected to send Corey Brewer to Denver.

Anthony will sign a 3-year $65 million contract extension with the Knicks.
