Where Are They Now: Southwest High School

On Packerland Drive in Green Bay, Wisconsin, it’s only fitting that football should be played. And played well.

Former players say, the Southwest Fighting Trojans were regarded as mediocre – at best. That is, until the late-2000s. In fact, it wasn’t until the class of 2010 showed up, as freshman in 2006, that the school really had a respectable football team.

I caught up with three member of the class of 2010. Turns out, they aren’t done yet.

  1. Great for the Fighting Trojans!! It is nice to see that some progress has occurred. Please verify when was the last time Southwest won a conference title in football. I believe you still have to give praise to the Class of ’76 for their FRVC title in 1975. That was 1 season before the state playoffs began and that team finished hot and would have stormed to the state title. They finished ranked 7 in the state before there were divisions.

  3. They had a decent run this year too. If I recall they finished about .500 and I know they beat Notre Dame.
