Lolo Jones….

My new favorite writer for The [Five] is Jon Marshall. Truth be told, I really do like his writing – but that’s not why he’s my new favorite.

Marshall made it to my favorite writer because of a recent discussion we had about sprinter Lolo Jones.

Jones, who specialized in the 60 and 100 meter hurdles, won three NCAA titles, 11 All-American honors at LSU. She won indoor national titles in 2007, 2008 and 2009 in the 60 m hurdles and won gold medals at the World Indoor Championship in 2008 and 2010.

At the 2008 Olympics, she was favored to win the 100 m hurdles but tripped and finished in seventh place. She went on to win silver at the 2008 World Athletics Final.

Keep in mind, she is still the American record holder in the 60m hurdles with a time of 7.72 seconds.

Oh, and The lovely lady to the right.. is Jon Marshall’s female athlete of choice.

All 5’9, 130 pounds of the lean, mean high-steppin’ machine that is Lolo Jones.

Okay, so to give Marshall some credit, Jones apparently posed sem-nude for ESPN in 2009. And she, apparently, looked pretty good doing it.

I haven’t seen the pictures.

In fact, the only pictures, err, picture, I have looked at is the one above. And for one more record: right-click the photo and “view image” and look at it at 100-percent.

And laugh.
