Peyton Manning looking for historic day

To quote Brandon Williams, former KBVR talk show host: “Peyton Manning, is a [Bleep]ing God.”

Williams made the remarks back in 2006 but the words still ring true in 2010. Manning is set to break a handful of records Sunday and he may do it with minimal effort.

When Peyton Manning takes the field on Sunday and lines up under center for the first snap, he will break Gene Upshaw’s record for most consecutive snaps to start a career.

If Manning throws for more than 300 yards, it would be the 64th time in his career – breaking Dan Marino’s record of 63 300-yard games. And if Manning tosses three touchdowns, it would add him to the list of quarterbacks to throw over 400 touchdown passes. Right now, that list is only two names long. Marino and Brett Favre.

On top of that, if the Colts beat the Titans, it would tie Dallas’ NFL record of nine-consecutive playoff appearance.
