Digging out for Pinstripe Bowl

The Yankee Organization has played games in November but has never had to dig out from a substantial snowfall event.

Until now.

A Nor’easter rumbled through the East Coast over the weekend and dumped snow from Virginia to Maine. Two-feet fell in parts of New York City – including new Yankee Stadium where the Pinstripe Bowl is set to kickoff Thursday night.

The game features Syracuse and Kansas State.

According to the AP, 400 people have been put to work on snow removal to prepare the stadium for use. Yankees president Randy Levine told the AP the field was covered before snow began falling Sunday, and most of it should be plowed away by late Tuesday.
