Redskins’ McNabb gets extension

ESPN’s Michael Smith is reporting that Donovan McNabb is set to receive a Christmas Bonus a little early.

Smith is reporting that McNabb signed a contract extension today. The new deal is a five-year, $78 million extension. And $40 million guaranteed.

As Michael Lederer said, Tom Brady got a five-year $78 million extension in September – with $48.5 million is guaranteed.

Remember, McNabb was benched roughly 15 days ago for Rex Grossman. The same Rex Grossman who was ran out of Chicago and couldn’t make it in Houston.

McNabb is 159-for-277 for 1,971 yards on the season. He’s thrown seven touchdowns (tied with players like Jason Campbell, Jon Kitna and Matt Hassleback) and eight interceptions (tied with players like Shaun Hill and Derek Anderson).
