Packers Nick Collins apologizes

An incident after the Packers-Bears Monday Night Football game prompted an apology from Green Bay Packers safety Nick Collins. Today, he apologized the fans.

The questionable action: He threw his mouthpiece into the stands.

“This is a situation that I could have walked away from but, you know, heat of the moment,” Collins told the AP. “Things happen. Both sides (were) out of line.”

The Packer players are behind Collins, they said fans step across the line. Habitually. To quote Charlie Murphy, “They are habitual line steppers.”

“The fans are taking it too far,” Packer wide receiver Donald Driver told the AP. “This is a game where we go out here and we try to have fun playing it. I think the fans are taking it too far when they start talking about you, your family. They don’t know your family.”
