Gymnastics, Blogging, NCAA Rules and the KBVR fallout

Thanks to everyone that stopped by the site to read up about the meet. There was some ambiguity on the rules of what I was allowed to do so your patience was awesome. Here’s the way it ended up breaking down (with a little South Park feel)

Firstly, if KBVR were to have play-by-play of the events it would have to wait to be broadcast until AFTER the meet was shown on TV. It couldn’t be live or played on Tuesday at 9am (like always). So I decided that with all of my infinite gymnastics knowledge that playing a radio broadcast that might be one or two weeks old ( with no commentary from Sami Redmond, who couldn’t make the journey) would be rather worthless to the listeners (lets be honest).

Secondly, The NCAA is bonkers over blogging and with gymnastics the rules were a little fuzzy about if I could actually post scores. I did anyway, but the ambiguity is the reason why they aren’t as pronounced after the first post.

Laslty, I decided to do some audio podcasts and jump through even more hoops that the NCAA put down. So those are available with most rotations posts (including an interview with Yuki Lamb on this post) with accompanying pictures (there will be a picture archive with a link up shortly).

Thanks again everyone, the picture archive is up and ready and the interview with Yuki Lamb is below.
