The NCAA basketball preseason is already taking shape. Texas, Vanderbilt, North Carolina State and Oregon State will headline the field for the 2011 Legends Classic.
The rest of the field – eight more teams – will be announced at a later date.
The Legends Classic is going to be in it’s fifth year. In the first four years of it’s featured six teams that advanced to the Sweet 16 or better – Texas (2008) and Pittsburgh (2009) advanced to the Elite Eight and Michigan State (2010) played in the Final Four.
The four teams announced Wednesday will host the opening rounds of the tournament and automatically advance to the semifinals.
