Quarterback Jordan Palmer is taking the role of team leader in Cincinnati. Right now he is trying to set up offseason workouts for the team’s offensive players.
Jordan is taking the role from his brother Carson. Carson has been threatening to retire if he’s not traded.
Jordan told The Associated Press Tuesday he’ll host most of the Bengals receivers, tight ends and running backs in California next week. He said they’ll work out at Palmer’s high school in Mission Viejo.
Jordan is acting as if he is going to be the starter in Cincinnati. And there is no reason to think otherwise. That is, unless the Bengals take a quarterback in the NFL Draft next week.
Jordan and Carson became the first pair in NFL history to play quarterback in the same game for the same team, on November 21, 2010, in a loss to the Buffalo Bills.
