Pitcher Ian Snell has retired from Major League Baseball.
The St. Louis Cardinals sent him to minor league camp this morning and Snell decided he would rather call it a career.
In seven MLB seasons, the 29-year old went 38-53 with a 4.80 ERA in just over 800 innings pitched.
