Nick Lilja is reporting former Louisville (2007-2009) and Tulsa (2003-2006) head coach Steve Kragthorpe will be named the offensive coordinator at LSU.
Multiple sources are indicating the announcement will be made when Les Miles is done on his current recruiting trip.
Kragthorpe spent the 2010 season our of football. Originally he planned on working as the Texas A&M receivers coach with players like Jeff Fuller and Uzoma Nwachukwu. But family issues forced him to resign.
Kragthorpe is often remembered for the 2007 season at Louisville. The team started No. 10 in the AP Poll, returned the majority of the 2007 Orange Bowl team (including a Heisman Trophy candidate Brian Brohm) and finished the season 6–6. That included a loss to Syracuse where the Cardinals were 37-point favorites.
