It’s finally over. Almost. The top court in international sports said it would rule on Alberto Contador’s doping case… in about two weeks.
Then again, what is two weeks after – what feels like more than – two years.
Recall that Contador tested positive for clenbuterol during the 2010 Tour de France and was sentenced to a two-year ban from the sport.
He claimed that the clenbuterol came from contaminated beef.
Everyone laughed. But now the courts will decide.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport had planned to decide earlier this month, but according to The Associated Press, “blamed media reports for the regrettable delay.”
