Brett Favre can rest easy, today. Peyton Manning’s quest to break Favre’s streak is over.
Manning is still struggling to overcome neck surgery he underwent during the offseason. His streak ends at 227 games, second-longest behind Favre.
The Colts announced Wednesday that Manning will start the season on the sidelines and will not play Sunday in the season-opener at Houston, and the 38-year-old, out of near-retirement, Kerry Collins will make the start against the Texans.
More to come…
