In one year, Razorback offensive tackle Anthony Oden has been arrested for driving while intoxicated twice. Friday, Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino announced he had been dismissed from the football team.
According to KAIT8.com, Oden was arrested by Fayetteville police and charged with a DWI, possession of an illegal substance and a few other offenses after Oden was pulled over after crossing the center line and hitting a curb while making a turn at 1:48 a.m., according to the police report. Oden didn’t pull over after the officer flashed his lights and siren.
Oden later blew a .09 on a breathalyzer test, according to arkansasonline.com
He posted the $2,000 bail.
He was expected to compete for a starting spot on the Arkansas offensive line in 2011. Oden will still receive “support” from the athletic department, according to the press release.
