St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Albert Pujols will miss the next 4-6 weeks due to a fractured left forearm.
Pujols underwent an MRI and CT scan Monday morning which revealed a “non-displaced fracture of his left radius.” His left shoulder remains sore but no structural damage was found.
He injured his left wrist and shoulder attempting to make a tag at first base in the sixth inning of Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Royals.
Pujols is hitting .279 with 17 home runs on the season.
