More trouble for the Southern California football program.
Former USC special teams player, Lonnie White, said he took $14,000 in illegal payments during his four-year career for the Trojans. He played for the university during the 1980s.He said he made most of his money by selling game tickets allotted to scholarship players. He admitted to the illegal payments in The Daily, an online publication.
White says he sold the four season tickets provided to every scholarship player, which is illegal.
He was a sports writer at the Los Angeles Times from 1987 to 2008 and didn’t have much of an NFL career.
