More woes for the USC name. Former Southern California assistant coach Todd McNair is suing the NCAA with accusations of libel, slander and misconduct.
All of this relates to the NCAA’s investigation into Reggie Bush.
The Los Angeles Daily News was the first to report the lawsuit. They are reporting that McNair’s attorney, Bruce Broillet, did not immediately return a telephone message Monday.
McNair was apart of the punishment the NCAA dished out to USC. McNair, according to the NCAA’s investigation, knew about certain the gifts given to Bush’s family by two sports marketers.
The NCAA punished McNair by prohibiting him from contacting recruits.
His USC contract was not renewed.
McNair’s lawsuit claims the NCAA’s investigation was one-sided and that McNair wasn’t allowed to cross-examine witnesses.
