Matchup:
Kentucky can shoot the lights out and Princeton can run the half-court like a well-coached, well, Princeton team. This should be a slower paced game with a fair amount of scoring – both teams shoot above 40-percent from the field on average. These two teams haven’t played since the 1977 NCAA Tournament – the Wildcats won 72-59.
Kentucky
The Wildcats are shooting 46-percent from the floor and 39-percent from behind the arc and are sporting a six-game winning streak. A lot of the Wildcats chances rest on the shoulders of guard Brandon Knight, averaging 17 points, four assists and three rebounds per game, and forward Terrence Jones, averaging around 17 points per game with about 9 rebounds and two blocks.
Princeton
Princeton has only lost twice in 2011. The Tigers play four guys that score in double digits every night – led by Kareem Maddox and Ian Hummer, both averaging 13.9ppg. The team can’t shoot from behind the arc – averaging under 38-percent as a team. Maddox was named to the All-Ivy League First Team and was Defensive Player of the Year – after spending most of the year coming off the bench.
