Cleveland Browns place franchise tag on K Phil Dawson

The Cleveland Browns have placed the franchise tag on kicker Phil Dawson.

Dawson will receive an one-year contract that is the average of the top five salaries for kickers throughout the league which is projected to be about $3.25 million.
