WNBA star Diana Taurasi’s contract was terminated by her Turkish basketball club, Fenerbahce, after her “B” sample also tested positive.
The decision was a result of an announcement from the Turkish Basketball Federation that Taurasi could face a two-year ban. If banned, it would also affect her eligibility to play for the United States at the 2012 London Olympics.
Last month, Taurasi’s “A” sample tested positive for the banned stimulant modafinil (found in sleep apnea perscriptions). Taurasi was suspended that day.
