Chicago Bulls center Omer Asik will miss the remainder of the season with an ankle injury.
Asik suffered the initial injury in the third quarter of Game 3 on Sunday and did not return. He attempted to play for the Bulls in game four on Tuesday night but managed only two minutes of game action, entering in the first quarter before leaving the game for good.
The rookie 7-footer averaged 1.1 points and 2.2 rebounds per game in 14 playoff contests entering Tuesday. He has provided the Bulls with strong defense and energy off the bench.
Miami leads the series 3-1 after winning Game 4 101-93 in overtime.
