The Indiana Pacers are already looking forward to the 2011-2012 season. Pacers President, Larry Bird, told The Associated Press that the team is interested in Mike Brown and Rick Adelman.
The team fired Jim O’Brien in January after the Pacers suffered a 110-89 loss to the Chicago Bulls.
Brown led the Cleveland Cavaliers to the 2007 NBA Finals and was NBA coach of the year in 2009. Accoerding to most people, he was run out of town. He was formerly a Pacers assistant.
Adelman held a 193-135 record in his four seasons with the Houston Rockets before leaving the team last month and is eighth in NBA history for career wins with 945.
Adelman was interviewed the last time the Pacers were searching for a head coach.
Bird said interim coach, Frank Vogel, is the lead candidate for the position. He finished the season two game over .500 after the team fired O’Brien and led the Pacers to the playoffs.
